I have known Dr. Rajasree G., M.S. (Shalyatantra) from her Post Graduate student days to the present day. It is a matter of great pleasure to know that she has written this book.
Shalyatantra comprises of various surgical and- minimally invasive surgical techniques or so called "parasurgical techniques", which have been proved effective, scientific and safe in the management of various conditions, sometimes advantageous as well.
In this context, kshara sootra, kshara lepa or kshara karma in general is an important technique for the practitioners of Shalyatantra.
Dr. Rajasree G. has written this book describing the anatomy of Ano-rectal region, methods of examining Ano-rectal cases-the disease of ano rectal region, process of manufacture of kshara, kshara sootra, pratisarana kshara, process of their surgical usage etc in a very simple but detailed manner.
This book will be of immense value to the students and practitioners of Ayurveda in general and Shalyatantra in particular.
Hoping that this book will be well received by the scientific community, I wish her all the success in her endeavors.
