A Little Book of Etiquette

This book is by no means an extensive study by any professional. The data provided in this book are my own interpretations of the subject, gleaned from various books, and presented from a layperson’s viewpoint.

The book deals with each aspect of the study, point by point, in a simple language, and serves as a ready reckoner for those who have no time to go through heavy, in depth studies.

Social traditions, based on courtesy, kindness and graciousness have been bequeathed to us in the form of etiquette. We desperately need to hold on to these valuable norms, and appreciate the changing times and styles of our dynamic society.

Even successful and experienced people are aware that they need information and counsel on social and business etiquette. This book presents tips on etiquette at home, business, special occasions, dining etiquette, responding to invitations and correspondence, games and travel, and demeanour and poise.
