Book Description

However, those who had tremendous spiritual insight and knew without a shadow of a doubt that Holy Mother was not an ordinary woman, but the Divine Mother herself.
This commemorative volume is divided into four sections. The first section, 'Altars of Shakti,' the Divine Feminine Principle, describes the historical and philosophical context of Sri Sarada Devi's life from the most ancient Indian tradition to modern issues. The second section, 'Reified Divinity,' describes the Life and Teachings of Sri Sarada Devi in personal reminiscences and treatises of prominent as well as lesser known aspects of her personality, her mission and how she points to our own sadhana. The third section, 'Inundation of the Infinite,' deals with Sri Sarada Devi's relevance today as the progenitor and prototype of a new awakening of spiritual consciousness, and of women East and West. The fourth section, 'Evolution of a Revolution,' presents a history of the development towards a world-renaissance of an independent, Math for women in the Ramakrishna Order, an organization for social welfare and spiritual enlightenment. It explores the influence and details of the unique personalities of its founders.
