Born in1934, Ruskin Bond has played a pioneering role in the growth of children's literature in India. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 and Padma Bhushan in 2014, besides the sahitya Akademi and other literary awards for his contribution. Most of his works are influenced by life in the foothills of the Himalayas, where he spent his childhood. His first novel, The Room On the Roof, was written when was just 17. He has authored over five hundred works which have established him as one of india's most beloved writers.

Amit Sengupta has worked in various capacities as an advertising professional, creative consultant, designer, Illustrator, painter and chef extraordinaire. A Topper from the government college of Art and Craft, Kolkata, he has worked with leading advertising agencies of india in the capacity of creative Director. He has won many national and international accolades for his work in adversising. His cover desgins and illustrations for various leading publishers have been highly acclaimed.
