Book Description

About The Book

Dr Diwan Singh Kalepani's is the tale of life which eventually outlives its time. He was a pioneer of post-Gitanjali Indian, particularly the Punjabi, literature. His literary works were infused essentially in philanthropic fervor, that as its natural outcome, helped his art skillfully transcend mundane realities. This biography makes evaluation easy for the inquisitive readers, for it delineates the journey of a brave soul on the mortal plane.

His journey begins from the nascent romanticism, passes through the crisscross of societal interests, and ends up in enlightened yearnings. Truth in the form of day to day realities, beauty of illumination of individual talent, thereby the intellectual development, and the lust for freedom, both of the nation as well as of the hearts of teeming millions who were seething within under suppression-all which built up this valorous man's psyche-are laboriously depicted in this book.
