About the Author:

Chhote Bharany (b. 1925) had his early education in Punjab. He went to Calcutta University where he studied the fine arts and philosophy under the able guidance of Dr. Stella Kramrisch.

Chhote Bharany has already made a name as poet, writer, playwright, drama producer and director. He has to his credit 14 books published in Hindi, English and Punjabi. He has also contributed many articles to important publications, such as the Statesman. He was a delegate to the 'Dialogue Congress, Western Europe-India' held in Austria in 1983.

A connoisseur of fine arts of painting and sculpture, a sensitive student of metaphysics and mysticism, a widely travelled man, Bharany has had a rich experience of life and of the Indian subcontinent.
