Navjata Shishu Paricharya

This book is based on Navajata Shishu Paricharya (Care of the newborn) described by both Ayurvedic and modern texts in detail. In ancient texts, Acharyas gave prime importance to care of newborn (Navajata Shishu Paricharya) which starts from birth to full stability of newborn. Various procedures were advised in the management of newborn child by Acharyas with a few differences in opinion regarding the sequences of those procedures. The modern Pediatrics also describes resuscitation and care of newborn in the discipline of Neonatology along with the diseases of the neonate. This section mainly deals General Principles of neonatal disorders and Management of neonatal medical and surgical diseases. This book contains total 09 chapters which describe ancient and modern concepts of neonatal care, examination of new born, Care of LBW Baby, Breast feeding, neonatal medical diseases, Neonatal surgical diseases and drug dose in Ayurveda and Modern sciences.

About the Author Dr. Niraj Kumar Srivastava S/O Sri Prabhakar Lal and Smt.Shila devi born on 16th July 1978 at Semara village of Mirzapur district (U.P). He has completed his primary education in village and 10+2 from Government Inter College Mirzapur. He has completed his BAMS, MD (Ay), PhD degree in Kaumarbhritya under the guidance of Prof B.M Singh from prestigious Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He was senior resident in department of Kaumarbhritya from 2009 - 2012 and Assistant professor (contractual) in same department from 2014-2015. He is now Reader in Government Ayurvedic post graduate college, Varanasi (Sampurnanand Sanskrit University). He completed online course of PGPN (Post graduate pediatrics nutrition) from Bostan University. He has published more than 40 research papers in international and national journals. He presented more than 12 papers in international, national seminar and attends more than 5 workshops. He is selected as examiner in Banaras Hindu University and Uttarakhand Ayurveda University for BAMS and P.G diplomas courses. He is life member of Vishwa Ayurveda parishad and member of many editorial boards. He is skilled in management of neonatal and pediatrics disorders.
