He is in the field of Teaching and Research for more than 30 years. He has authored 36 books and a number of research articles in various research journals. He has presented papers in National and Inter-national Conferences in various Universities in and outside the country. He has won several Literary Awards for his academic achievements. He has produced several Doctorates and M.Phil Degree holders in the field of Sanskrit. He was the former Professor and Head of the Department of Sanskrit (Sahitya), Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, Kerala. He has also served as the Member Syndicate of the University and the Secretary of V.T.Memmorial Trust, Angamaly, State Council Member of Kerala State Library Council and the Senate member of Calicut University.
