Administrative Heritage of Southern India- From Sangam Age

This book aims to consolidate information on administration in the Sangam Era and show: that detailed and well-thought-out processes were used in ancient Tamil kingdoms much before British rule. It also establishes how administration in the Tamil kingdoms differed from the policies practised in the central and northern parts of the subcontinent, as laid out in the Arthashastra inspite of the inevitable similarities in some respects.
