Foreword
Every epoch creates its own ethos, its focal point, its defining metaphor, encapsulating its needs, drives, aspirations and its civilization pursuits. Going by what meets the eye, the present generation appears to be riding the currents and cross currents that replenish our basic biological and some psychological needs, at times delimiting the time honoured 'intellectual pursuits' which do register their presence, more as escapades than as living-credos. However the discerning mind does record the sub-terraneous sounds and fury, suggesting the turmoil that engulfs the learning millions. While half the population of the world is engaged in its grim struggle for managing its basic needs, others are seeking solace in pleasures and pursuits that oppulance can procure. Only a microscopic minority of the so called 'intellectual' class, justify its existence by venting venom on the established system of different variants. The gross has eclipsed the inner enlightenment of the man, masquerading energy even though momentarily.

But then the silver lining encircling dark clouds promises that all the gloom is only a passing phase. The human spirit is inherently equipped to come out triumphant in all those trials and tribulations. There are enough signposts, in the form of value vectors left by scriptures, saints, sages and servants of the past and the present who could steer humanity to its spiritual destiny, its Eldorado.
