About the Author

Mr. Shyam Narayan, author of this book entitled "Iron Artifacts: History, Metallurgy, Corrosion and Conservation" is M.Sc. in Chemistry from B.H.U, Varanasi, India and a well known professional in the field of conservation of metal artifacts. Presently he is serving in Metal Research Division, National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC), Lucknow, India, a premier institution devoted conservation research and conservation of Cultural Heritage. He has organized a number of curative and preventive training programmers to safeguard the cultural heritage. He was deputed Japan to learn new techniques in this area. He has a wide experience in conservation of metal artifacts. He has published three books and twenty five articles, reports and research papers in National and International Journals.

Professor Kamal K Jain, is well known professional in the field of conversation of cultural heritage. Presently he is serving as a Dean (Academic Affairs) and Head of the Department of Conservation at National Museum Institute, New Delhi. Prior to joining NMI, Prof. Jain Served as junior Scientific Officer, Senior Scientific Officer and Finally as project officer at National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC), Lucknow, a premier institution devoted conservation cultural Heritage. During his long and eventful career Prof. Jain has traveled and taught extensively on the various topic ranging from conservation of stone, Ceramic and Glass to Preventive Conservation involving Recognition of Museum Storage as well as disaster management.
