Meera is a freelance journalist, columnist and an author. A postgraduate in English literature, she qualified herself in Journalism and Public Relations. She is a prolific writer having published more than 2000 articles in the genre of features: interviews, humorous essays and travelogues besides children's stories and book reviews which were published in The Hindu, Indian Express, Femina, Eve's Weekly, Woman's Era, Alive, Eve's Touch and Ability Foundation. Mecra has travelled to Western Europe, Australia, U.K., North America, Malaysia, Cambodia and SriLanka and she loves to share her experiences with readers through the printed word and her Blog: justlies.wordpress.com. Her two books: Madras Mosaic, a social satire and Feature Writing, meant for journalism students have been published by Parity Paperbacks and PHI Learning. Both have gone into second editions. 'Ilse third is a Coffee table book titled: 3E's of Travel comprising 120 photographs she took with her non digital cameras. She was interviewed on a popular TV channel and a write up of her appeared in all the mainstream newspaper supplements and in Femina besides Tiger Tales, an its house magazine of Tiger Airways (in its issue of Jan.-Feb. 2(512).
