The forty-two sutras of Laghu Parashari deal with the analysis of planetary period results based on Vimoshtatri Dasha, the very meaning of Laghu means small, therefore it gives us a methodology of interpretation of planetary periods based on placement, relationships, and lordships of different planets.
These very forty-two sutras explain in lucid details the subject matter of judging the planetary periods in their subjective period.
The book deals with yogas, raj yogas, relationships, Maraka planets, planetary period and sub-period analysis. Madhya Parashari origin is attributed to anonymity but the book reflects on principles of astrology as similar to Laghu Parashari but with certain additions like the Dhan Yogas based on the positioning of planets in 5th and 11th houses, penury yogas, and Antardasha (sub-period) results are additional. Jataka Chandrika is ascendant specific and talks about benefic and malefic for each Lagna. In the course of 75 stanzas he has tried to lead the astrological student to the doors of future predictions and he tells him there that by diligence one would find admission into the sacred precincts of the unquestionable truths contained in Astrology.
