Book Description

About The Book

The face is the mirror of soul. The art of judging character from face and form, existed even in the hoary past. In the Western countries much has been written on this art under the name of physiognomy. Ancient Indian thinkers also have called the face, the index of character.

The present work is a very well done summery of the western and oriental studies in face reading. Efforts have been made to present the study in a simple language as far as possible. Pictorial description has been adhered to wherever necessary. A keen student of this branch of knowledge is advised by the author to master the general principles as advocated in this treatise and then objectively verify his knowledge through the study of faces of those persons, first, who are better, devoted student of this volume, the author feels, will surely gather momentum.

Preface

Secrets of face-reading implies the idea of theoretical foundations of practical techniques of character reading from face. It is both a science and an art as well. It a scientific study so far as the foundation of this branch of knowledge have been constructed on scientific laws through mathematical expositions. They are open to verification through statistical study in laboratory such as sometimes exact measurement of dimensions of certain features of face are also measured for arriving at desirable conclusions.

Foreword

The science of face-reading is as old as the history of man itself. The earliest man had also judged the vivid flush of joy, the livid hue of envy and the pallor of fear through different passions as reflected over the face of fellow being. Scholars like Aristotle, Holler, Obereit, Huart, Lavater, Perneti, Reece and Alexander have written extensively on the subject of physiognomy. However, knowledge is ever growing from within like a tree. Dr. S.S. Lishk who is a born occultist, has tried to unravel the mysteries of psychological approach behind the sublime science of character-reading from face. Being a student of mathematics, he has attempted to formulate certain laws just as the principle of consistency of dimension of face etc., thus making his approach consistent, adequate, precise, relevant and rational to the context of face reading. Indeed he has mathematically generalized the fundamental principles of face-reading.
