Sivanandayogam

Prof. R. Raghavendran had his basic Engineering education from Madras University and obtained his doctorate from Toulouse University, France. He was in US under UNESCO post-doctoral fellowship at Colorado State University. He retired voluntarily as professor of Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal.

He came into close contact with Pujya Guruji from the year 1973 and he was one of the very few who received the lecture course from Guruji in Upanishads and got initiated into Yoga Sadhana. He was associated with Guruji in all his activities since then.

He lived with Guruji from 1985 till his Mahaniryanam in 2015. He has been giving lectures to some devotee groups on various topics based on the talks given by Guruji.

Truth when realized leads to ultimate experience that every sadhak should strive to achieve in his lifetime. It is his primary purpose of living in this world. He is fortunate if he has the association and guidance of a Satguru.

Satguru Sivananda Murty was an embodiment of the primordial truth. The truth realization leading to the ultimate experience known as Sivananda, becomes easy, fast, and sure by remembering Guruji, through a yogic process taking place in the consciousness. This means that Sivananda Smarana leads to Sivananda Yogam. It is for this purpose, a few chosen aspects of his multifaceted personality are briefly discussed in this monograph. This attempt is just like a drop in the ocean.

The purpose of this work is more than justified, if any sadhak derives some help and guidance in his endeavor.
