Pulippani is one of the most ancient books of astrology. In this book, there are some sutras of astrology which are not found in other popular books of astrology, but very encouraging results are obtained upon their application. When I first read 'Pulippani Jothidam', I was surprised that some of the sutras re- semble with the sutras given in 'Bhrigu Panchika' and 'Jyoti Niranjan'. There are several sutras in this book, which do not yield successful results if used as it is. As this book was written thousands of years ago, it is possible that some parts were misinterpreted over time, while passing on from one generation to the next. To rec- tify this problem, the help of 'Bhrigu Panchika' and 'Jyoti Niranjan' has been taken, and I have attempted to incorporate my knowledge too which I have attained over many years. All the supportive material is used to eliminate the shortcomings of the sutras in this book.
