Anatomical Concept of Chakra and Energy System

In present world every person wants to live healthy, peaceful and disease free life. To fulfil this purpose various scientific technology and different kind of treatment system. Ayurveda and Tantrika literature are the example of some of them. This Book include in Sat Chakra Concept of Tantrika literature. Through this author has tried his best level to develop a scientific relation between Nadi, Chakra, Kundalini and Energy system with anatomical and physiological-view in the prospect of Sharir. Also has attempted to find out role and relation of nervous system and its physiology and their regulation with the help of Nadi, Chakra, Kundalini and Energy system. This book is an attempt to present ancient verdict which may helpful in diagnosis, prevention and also can manage up to some level. Author tried his best level to present scientific correlation between Tantrika literature that include Nadi, Chakra and Koshas with most of the aspects of structural and physiological aspects of various approaches of health. This Book will be highly benefitted to all the U.G. and P.G. students of AYUSH medicine system to enhance their broad area of treatment to achieve aim of complete health. All the aware people of our society may gain fruitful wisdom about his body and its various conceal and governing system of this complex physiological mechanism.

Dr. Pradeep Pal has completed his Graduation (B.A.M.S.) from Lalit Hari Rajkiya Post Graguate Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Pilibhit U.P., he get selected in all India Post Graduate Entrance Test and completed his Post Graduation in Department of Rachana Sharir, Faculty of Ayurveda, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. from the same Deptt. He has published many research papers in various International and National journals from his M.D. Thesis.

Every structure in the body has the hidden surgical and clinical thrill of practical importance. Out of them some are Nadis, Chakras and energy systems. The Nadis, Chakras help to regulate, control, govern & coordinate the various energy systems at different levels of organization of body i.e. cells, tissues, organs & systems. Tantrika Acharya had searched the controlling structure of the whole body known as Mana, its pathways are "Nadis" and plexuses their meetings are as "Chakras". This whole anatomy and physiology is now a day’s known as the nervous & endocrine system of the body that coordinate, govern, control and regulate the whole body and Mana. Yogic Acharya had explored methods of purification of Mana, Nadis, Chakras and energy systems to achieve the goal of life i.e. Purusarthchatustaya (Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha -practical salvation with the life) and higher powers or Astha Siddhis in the span of life. Therefore, it is necessary to redefine, explore & explain the anatomical structures Nadis, Chakras and energy systems in present scientific language. This is the main aim and objective of this book.

Nadis, Chakras and Kundalini Yoga are valuable contributions of Tantras. Kundalini Shakti or serpentine power (energy) remain at the Mooladhara Chakra just as serpent residing in a quiet and coiled state, full of potential energy. The Kundalini power can be successfully channelized through successive steps of various Chakras, then one can control his autonomic activities & sensory inputs and acquire skill & power of mind (Mana). According to modern science these Chakras can be equated with various autonomic ganglia, like sacral, lumber, coeliac, thoracic, cervical and carotid ganglia to which both sympathetic and para-sympathetic system (which can be compared to Ida and Pingala Nadis). Branches of these Nadis form various networks (plexus) which are the physical representation of Chakras.

So, this book is an attempt to present the concept and new scientific dimension of Nadi, Chakra and Energy system, in systemic and uniform manner, which was lacking till date. In this regard, I appreciate the efforts of my pupil Dr. Pradeep Kumar Pal, who had impressed me through his sincere and hard work with devotion for bringing up this book in my guidance.
