Archaeology, Museology and Conservation Review

Articles included in here deal with different aspects of museology, covering history of Museums in the country, their role in education, problems of conservation and preservation of artifact and stored or displayed in museums and art galleries. Our young museum personnel’s should also think about new avenues especially in rural areas. It is here they can play very meaningful role in educational, social and cultural life of the rural society. Village programs could be planned and executed through village panchayat.

The Course at the University of Rajasthan has started in 2006 and since then the centre has been organizing lectures and seminars. It is really commendable to publish two collections in such a short span of time. I am sure it will be used by all, who are concerned with museums and related activities, and the centre will disseminate knowledge in the field of museology.
