It is an English rendering of Ancient Ayurvedic texts, and supplemented with bibliography and notes covering the surgical activities in the field during the Ancient era. It deals with theoretical conceptions, theory of Karnapali Roga, Karna Sandhan bidhi, Nasa Sandhan bidhi and Osta Sandhan Vidhi described by Ancient Surgeon along with the recent advances in latest surgery.

The book is a model of critical research condensed with words without omitting any important details of the subject matter. A historical approach has been made. The concept of bandaging, suturing, both from Ancient & Modern point of view has been made. This book is a model of scientific study. Though it is small in size, it is informative. The entire literature on plastic surgery from vedic period to till date is thoroughly compiled. So far as I know, no book of this nature has been published in Ayurvedic field. I firmly believe that this work will prove helpful for conducting research work in the field. I hope this book will create interest for further study among Ayurvedic Scholar and Modern Plastic Surgeon in India & Abroad. The exact references in Sanskrit language been preserved intact. so far as the references to important works like Charak, Sushruta & Astangasangraha & Hridaya is concerned | have consulted the critical edition of the Samhitas and represents the references accordingly keeping in view to bring the book up to date I have add a bibliographical notes. An index is also added in the book. In-spite of great care, a few error might have takes place. So the reader is re- quested to rectify them before reading the book. It is hoped that the present volume will help in creating a scientific awareness among the research scholars of Ayurved & Modern science. Constructive criticism and suggestion will help me for further improvement.
