Book Description

About the Book
As living beings we are very much acquainted with life but to us life is still a principle shrouded in mystery only. Even after our philosophical quest for a few thousand years life is still forcing us to use only figurative language to explain it. We are yet to find answers to the questions What is life? How does it evolve and why?

In this book the author has made a serious attempt to find answers to the above questions. He has formulated a hypothesis through which he has shown how the primordial stuff or the first principle behind the cosmos gives rise to the principle of life as its logical consequence. All activities involved in the different aspects of life are also consequential in the sense that they follow automatically.

Preface
If philosophy is an attempt to explain and appreciate life and the universe as a whole, then to explain life is a basic task of philosophers. The riddle of life has therefore drawn the attention of philosophers and scientists. Various explanations for the emergence of life have come out of their work and various theories have been recorded in our history of thought. But no such theory has yet been accepted by all and no theory has as yet explained all the aspects of this mysterious principle, life. The principle of life has eluded the philosophers and scientists perhaps because of the fact that by its very nature life is a mystical phenomenon. Most of the explanations advanced by thinkers have therefore been mystical, drawing no conclusions in clear terms. As living beings we are very much acquainted with life but to us it is still a principle shrouded in mystery only. Life is still a baffling problem for us. Even after our philosophical quest for a few thousand years life is still forcing us to use only figurative language to explain it. We are yet to find answers to the questions-What is life? How does it evolve and why?

We have in this work made an humble yet serious attempt to provide answers to the above questions. We have tried to enunciate in our hypothesis the principle that works behind the evolution of life in this universe.
