Book Description
Radharani is the Queen of Vrnda’s forest. She is the Supreme Goddess of the entire creation. Radha enjoys playing fun games with Krsna, Srimati Radharani is the final transcendental goal. She is naturally situated far, far beyond anyone’s meditation. Radha is ~ very meditative by nature. She is always playing mischievous pranks on Krsna.
Born in Jagannath Puri in 1957 he became associated with ISKCON while on his second year in college. He joined the society in 1978 and was initiated by His ‘Holiness Jayapataka Swami the following year during the Gaura Purnima festival in Sri Dham Mayapur. From then on he served in various capacities, first as sankirtan leader in Kolkata, then on the boat preaching party in Mayapur. Starting in 1983 he served four years as Temple President in Bhuvaneswar. In 1987 he returned to Mayapur to become general manager. Under his supervision the Gita Correspondence-course program, College preaching and book distribution were developed. Maharaja is serving in Mayapur as one of the GBC members. He has also written many books in English & translated in several languages like Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi etc.
Finally after long waiting Srimati Radharani glories and pastimes Part two is going to manifest. In my book Srimati Radharani part one I had mentioned that I will be publishing Srimati Radharani Part two. Many years have passed since then. Time to time devotees have been asking me when this book will be published. I tell them only when Srimati Radharani will bless then this book will manifest.
The articles in this part two will be little different than the articles in part one. There will be some articles describing small pastimes of Srimati Radharani and some long articles describing pastimes from Lalita Madhava, Prema samputa, Ananda vrindavan champu and Gopal champu etc. In these books our great Acharyas have described different pastimes of the Radha and Krishna in very interesting way. In this book I have described those in very simpler form in the way I have understood. I hope the articles in this book will help readers to have an overall idea of the subject matter. Then they may read the original books written by respective writers. It is not so easy to understand the originala writings. But if you will read those carefully by the mercy of Radharani you will enjoy the subject matter very much.
The article "Unalloyed Loving relation between Radharani and Krishna" describes how Their relationship is beyond material conception of love. Many people are misled by hearing the loving relationship between Radha and Krishna due to their ignorance of truth behind these two personalities and nature of Their loving relationship. I thought it is necessary to remove the doubts from the mind of people in general in regards to loving affairs between Radha and Krishna on the basis of scriptures and verdict of great Acharayas. I hope this will help readers of this book understanding how the love between Radha and Krishan is pure and bonafied.
The article named as "Nava Vrindavan pastime" has been prepared on the basis of the book Lalita Madhava written By Srila Rupa Goswami. This article deals with some portion of subject matter of the book but not as systematically as it has been described in the book. This Lalita madhava book is written by Srila Rupa Goswami in drama format. I have transformed it to a story form. The sequence of description in the article is not same as the sequence it has been described in the original book. I have changed the sequence to make the subject matter understandable more easily. Through this article Srila Rupa Goswami has presented how Sri krishan and Srimati Radha are enjoying in Dwaraka in a different mode than Vrindavan pastime. It has been described that after Sri krishan moves to Dwaraka, due course of time 16108 including Srimati Radharani, Chandravali, Lalita, Visahka and four principal sakhis of Chandravali have been transferred to Dwaraka. In Dwaraka they have been known in different other names. Radharani appeared as Satyabhama and Chandravali appeared as Rukmini. In Vrindavan Radharani had married to Abhimanue and she was going to meet Krishna secretly. In Dwaraka Krishna is married and going to meet Rad- harani, known as Satyabhama, secretly. In this way Krishna was relishing the opposite rasa to what he was enjoying in Vrindavan.
In this book you will find many descriptions of small pastimes of Srimati Radharani with Sri Krishna.
I am not so elevated to write on the subject matter of Srimati Radharani. But still 1 have prepared this second part of "Glories and pastimes of Srimati Rdaharani" book . When I was reading all these books I enjoyed it so much. I thought devotees of Radharani will also enjoy to read all these pastimes. All these descriptions in this book is as per my understanding of the original texts written by goswamis. One may go through the original texts to understand the subject matter more better.
I pray at the lotus feet of Srimati Radharani to forgive for any mistakes I have committed in describing her pastimes in this book.
