Shivapoojan Sahay (Makers of Indian Literature)

This is a translated version of the original monograph on Shivapoojan Sahay written in Hindi by me and published in 1994 to mark the centenary year (1893-1993) of the great Hindi writer. As the original Hindi version was written nearly a quarter century ago, the original text needed some revision and modification at places in order to update it. The samples of writings at the end have also been revised accordingly to make this translated version more up to date and useful. A revised bibliography and a chronology of life events have been added at the end. Since the writer of the original Hindi monograph and its translator in English happen to be the same person, an effort has been made, within the parameters of translation, to update the information and make the monograph more useful for the modern reader.
