About the Author Born in 1935, in the remote and backward village of Ponneripatti, in North Tamilnadu, K.Chinnappa Bharathi's association with literary field commenced right from his school days, at Kandar School. Vellore. His 'Nilavudamai Eppo'-collection of poems in Tamil in 1955 marked the beginning. 'Kinatroram, a novel in verse in 1958, folk songs collection in 1962, 'Deivamoi Nindran' verse novel in 1966, 'Chinnappa Bharathi Kavithaigal' a poetry collection in 1967 all are in the true tradition of Bharathi, Bharathidasan and Namakkal Kavignar, to quote Chitti-Sivapadhasundaram. He was the founder - editor of Chemmalar, a Tamil Literary monthly in 1970.
