About the Book

Srila Rupa Gosvami (1489-1564 CE) appeared in vaklakandra - dvipa, West Bengal. Although he became the personal secretary to the king of bengal, he left of everything to dedicate himself to establishing Sri caitanya mahaprabhu's mission. he revealed krsna's pastime place in vrndavana, discovered the ancient deity of Sri Govinda, and wrote voluminously to establish Gaudiya vaisnava philosophy.

His writings, which display uncommon poetic beauty and unique brilliance in the logical thought , have been compared in importance to that of the evangelists in writing the gospels to establish christanity. His work and teaching are alive today in Vrndavana, a town of 5,000 temples, in his literature, which has been translated into a hundred languages, and in the hearts of Gaudiya Vaisnavas , who worship him for having revealed the innermost desire of the lord.
