About the Author:

Dr. S. Suresh Babu MD (Ayur.) a renowned writer and Practioner of Ayurveda, has been Teaching, guiding and writing for the cause of Ayurveda for more than two-decades.

He won "Vaidya Ratna P.S. warrier prize" of Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakal for "Best Thesis" Three times - consecutively in the years 1994, 1995 and 1996 A Hat Trick Achievement!

Presently Dr. Babu is working as Asst. Professor in the Post-graduate centre, Dr. BRKR Govt. Ayurvedic College, Hyderabad.

In pure philosophical sense-'We begin to Age the Minute we are born'. In Real life this this Process of Aging sets in around 30 years of Age and Silently this goes on to the End. And this change Episodes- That makes the Human Life Miserable.

AYURVEDA, the Ancient Medical Wisdom Prescribed Numerous way and Means to over-come the old-age related medical, psychological and social problems in a- Holistic way. All these concepts, Recommendations and Prescriptions are embedded in this small work in a- Systemic manner for the benefit of- physicians as well as senior citizens. If one adopts and practices these things, there is an every possibility of Aging- with Dignity and grace.

As all of you aware- The Information on 'Geriatrics' in Ayurvedic classics is scattered Here and There under different Headings and contexts. All such DATA is collected, well Researched, Edited and Presented in this FORM before the Medical world for the perusal.
