Homi Jehangir Bhabha

Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha was an eminent Indian scientist who developed nuclear physics in India. He is the pioneer in the field of science of modern India.

He was born in a reputed, affluent Parsi family and displayed streaks of brilliance since his childhood days. The family background played a major role in shaping his life.

Though he was highly dedicated to science but his interest went far beyond science to art, music and culture. The sharp mind looked into the details of everything be it a piece of art or a science experiment.

He strove hard that there was no friction between science and art, he desired that the two significant things worked side by side, harmoniously to enrich human life.

Dr. Bhabha is one of the peers of developing modern technology.

He is rightly considered as the father of nuclear science in India.

He founded the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research at Trombay, the institute enjoys a great reputation, it is rated as one of the world's topmost research centres in nuclear research.
