Book Description
One of the first Western initiates of a Beas Master, Colonel Sanders wrote this succinct introduction to Sant Mat in 1948. Half a century later, the book still presents a concise, clear, and relevant overview of the path of Surat Shabd Yoga, the inner path of the Word.
Particularly since it is a seminal introductory book, it was felt necessary to modernize the language so that archaic words or constructions should not come between the modern reader and the practical. message of God-realization that the book conveys. All citations, where possible, have been sourced. Where they couldn't be, they have been replaced by new scriptural quotations conveying the same point. Sometimes a more modern translation has been chosen for a quotation from the wider range available today compared to what the author had at his command.
For this edition a small section has been added at the back giving details on the wide range of scriptures and saints quoted. It is followed by a comprehensive list of the books published on the inner science of the Word by Radha Soami Satsang Beas in case the reader wishes to study further.
