The book also deals with historical events which were formulated as a result of the policy of the British Government and the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations and gives full account of Nyerere's Criminal Trial, First Election, Mutiny, Africanisation and union of Tanganyika with Zanzibar.

About The Author

K.L. Jhaveri was the President of the Asian Association in Tanganyika, a former Member of Parliament and President of Tanganyika Law Society He also served with distinction as Member of Judicial Commission and Judge of the High Court, Tanganyika and has contributed several articles on law in the national newspapers/ journals of Tanganyika.

This book was originally to be published under the title 'DOG' UNDER THE CART The book mainly deals with the contribution made by the Asian in the independence struggle of Tanganyika and particularly the part played by the Asian Association in conjunction with the Tanganyika African National Union which was led by Nyerere. The book deals with historical events which were formulated as a result of the policy of the British Government and the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations. The full account of Nyerere's Criminal Trial, First Election, Mutiny, Africanisation, Union of Tanganyika with Zanzibar. My special thanks are due to Mr. Bihari Tanna who made available more than 100 books to me to enable me to do the necessary research. My thanks are also due to Pravin Chauk who arranged for the typing of the manuscript.
