You will be amazed by its performance. Just imagine, before crossing a road you observe various kinds of vehicles moving with different speed. By estimating the relative speed of various vehicles and keeping in mind fixed distance of the road that you need to cross, your brain is able to calculate the velocity at which you must move to cross the road successfully. And you have been doing it successfully every time. Same way your brain sends signals to your heart to beat at a right pace triggers your lungs to work at an optimum rate. It remembers to distribute the blood to various organs with such an accuracy that no other machine in the universe can match and simultaneously regulates the temperature of a body best suited for each of the organ of the body to work efficiently. While keeping an eye to look for a pathogen or a virus attacks the body and working towards destroying these life threatening pathogens. And the brain keeps on doing it since the day you are born. The brain does it even when you are sleeping. That is why you are alive today. All this is just a fraction of the brain's total work which it has been doing for us. But then the question is why such a magnificent brain forgets a small formula or even the telephone number of your best friend or the date of birth of a famous legend?
