It is a matter of immense satisfaction that a book entitled 'The Perspective of Indological Studies in Modern Era' has been conceptualised and soon will see the light of the day. In contemporary times when object materialism is ruling the roost a book on Indology is much needed and welcome step. Indology is study of Indian Society and culture. It studies Indian society through concepts and theories which are based on Indian civilization. In doing so it studies religion, archaeological evidences, language, beliefs, customs and rituals as main components of Asian studies and present a contrast with western culture.
