Foreword I feel immense pleasure to write the foreword of the book entitled "Recent trends in Ayurvedic Pharmaceuitcs". Considering the additions made by CCIM in the new syllabus of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalapana, this book has incorporated the recent advances in the field of this science.

It will be really helpful for the students of BAMS as the author has covered most of the topics in a very lucid and elaborative manner. I feel the readers of this book will find the study of this book rewarding and satisfying. Standardization and quality control are two most important points that need to be considered in manufacture of Ayurvedic formulations. Author has elaborated well on these topics.

The author has also cited the references and acknowledged the resources from where the matter has been collected. I am sure that this edition will definitely find a wider popularity among BAMS students.

Preface I am happy to bring out the textbook entitled "Recent trends in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics" for BAMS students and young researchers in field of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana.

In this book, most of advances in field of Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics have been covered with standardization and quality control as main focus. After the amended syllabus of second professional year of BAMS, students find certain modern topics difficult to understand. Most of the topics are also difficult to access. Therefore this book will be useful for such students.

I fully believe that this endeavour of me will be useful to BAMS students to get acquainted with advance knowledge of Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics.
