About the Book we have forgotten that humans are also part of earth's biosphere and it has finite resources to support human civilization. Overexploitation of earth's system can bring new challenges, which will be difficult to address by current political and social systems. -Therefore, new book entitled, "Responsibility and Accountability to Our Common Home", where emphasis is given to promote collective responsibilities for healthy environment is timely and it can provide awareness among the local communities."

The world is not only going through an environmental crisis but a social crisis as well since the poor and the vulnerable of the society suffer most due to ecological crisis. A therapeutic shift is needed in our way of thinking that will lead to proactive policies which will result in determined actions all over the world to make our Common Home livable."

About the Author Dr. Thomas Karimundackal, SJ is the Professor of Old Testament and Biblical languages at the Faculty of Theology, Jnana-Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pune, and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Scripture Studies, and Coordinator of the Masters Programme in Biblical Studies at Jnana-Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pune.

Dr. Sony J. Chundattu, CMI is the Director of Christ College, Pune, and author of the book Calotropis-An Elixir for Liver. He is conferred with FELLOW award from IBRF for his outstanding contribution in the field of Academic Administration. He is also the recipient of Golden Award of Human Excellence for Global Peace from United Nations University for Global Peace USA and World Peace Excellence Award 2018 from World Achievers Foundation, Kolkata.
