Book Description
Bharat Bhushan Srivastava is a Farmer Civil Servant who after retirement from Central Govt. joined the legal profession practising in Delhi Courts for over two decades. Thereafter, he took to writing. His English translation of Sunder Kanda in Verse, as also Sri Hanuman Chalisa has been widely acclaimed. The English translation of Kiskinda Kanda is shortly to be released.
“Team is Truth” is his third collection of poems being issued now. An octogenarian Senior Citizen, he is engaged in useful writing work.
Chapter IV of Sri Ramacharitamanasa namely Kiskinda Kanda has its own importance. It is here that Sri Ram and Lakshmana wandering in search of Sri Sita-ji met Sri Hanumana-ji for the first time. Seeing the two brothers moving about, Sugriva sent Sri Hanumana-ji in the guise of a Brahmin to enquire about them. On getting their description, Hanumana recognized his Lord and fell at His lotus feet. Later, an alliance was effected between Sri Rama and Sugriva who deputed Hanumana to go and search Sita-ji and return with her whereabouts. Then, Hanumana went on his mission. After translating Sundara Kanda in English verse, I thought it necessary to translate Kiskinda Kanda too. It is here that Sri Hanumana-ji proceeds to Lanka. I hope the readers will like to recite it like Sundara Kanda. I am thankful to my daughters, Shashi Kiran and Usha Kiran, for explaining each chapter in great detail to me whenever necessary and thus facilitating in its translation. I dedicate this work to the memory of Late Sarva Shri Chandu Lal and Brij Lal Srivastava, whose love and affection I am unable to repay.
