Proverbs are considered as the most easily observed and collected genres of traditional expression. They have remained a part of the verbal resources of a culture. Dr. Suneetha Bai has attempted to trace the Socio-cultural background of the G.S.B. Community by an analytical study of the Konkani Proverbs. The book will not only add to the material already available on the Gowda Saraswat Brahmin Community but also highlight the significance of Proverbs in tracing the background of a community.
