Book Description

About the Author

The highlight of this book is that it is no admixture of false conjectures, of flights of fancy. Here is an honest endeavour to present truth in its pristine form. Wherever his (Rajarṣi Muni's) experience has fallen short while narrating the fundamental truths, he has discreetly made use of ancient scriptures and some of my books. Since he has presented the truth in the scientific manner, this book is bound to be a source of enlightenment to all the readers.

This book, I am sure, will find a prestigious place among the known works of Yoga. "May this took on Yogic Experiences prove to be a 'Guide-Lamp' for the seekers."

Preface

Towards the end of the year 1971, one of my spiritual brothers from the States wrote me asking some questions with a view to knowing my Yogic experiences in detail. By then I had hardly completed a year of my Yoga practice, after receiving spiritual initiation from 'my Guru Ven. Yogācārya Svâmî Sri Krpālvānandaji.

I started answering those questions drawing upon the experiences of my first year of spiritual practice. While writing I thought it proper to include one or two additional and pertinent questions often asked by other seekers. This permitted me to synthesize all my experiences in an appropriate manner. This is how my Yogic experiences assumed this form.

Introduction

This is the English version of Yoga Experiences - Part I, originally written in Gujarati by respected Sri Rajarsi Muniji and published in December, 1972. This excellent account of Muniji's experiences has been very helpful to many seekers and aspirants of Yoga. The publication of the Gujarati version was followed by numerous requests - oral as well as written - from many non- Gujarātī seekers and aspirants from India and abroad. We are very fortunate that respected Muniji himself has rendered this English version, notwithstanding the inevitable disturbances it must have caused in his regular Sadhana, I am sure that in today's strife-torn world, this English version will act as a light and guide to many aspirants who are interested in pursuing the path of Yoga for their spiritual development..
