About the Book
In the book Caitanya-mangala, by Srila Locan Dasa Thakur, it is recorded that Narada Muni, while visiting the spiritual world, came upon Lord Gauranga. The Lard told him of His mission to destroy the sinful activities of the Age of Kali. “With the powerful chopper of nama-sankirtana,” He said, “I’ll cut the hard knots of demoniac desires from the hearts of everyone. Even if the sinners reject religion or flee to foreign countries, still they will get My mercy. I will send mar senapati-bhakta to go there and deliver them.”
Mar senapati-bhakta refers to that commanding acarya who will be empowered by Lord Caitanya to lead His sankirtana movement. That acarya, whom Lord Caitanya referred to, is Srila Prabhupada, who is destined to spread Krishna consciousness all over the world.

Introduction
guru, vaisnnvc, bhagavan,-tinera smarana
tinera smarane haya vighna-vinasana
andyase haya nija vanchita-purana
In the beginning of this narration, simply by remembering the spiritual master, the devotees of the Lord, and the Personality of Godhead, I have invoked their benedictions. Such remembrance destroys all difficulties and very easily enables one to fulfill his own desires.
With these words, Krishna Dasa Kaviraja Goswarni begins his Caitanya Charitamrita. This prayer is his mangalacarana. Following in Krishna das Kaviraja’s footsteps we invoke the mercy of Srila Gurudeva.
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur says in one of his songs that Krsna personally sends His confidential associate, who delivers the fallen souls from this material world. And who is that confidential associate? That is Srila Gurudeva.
This book is a compilation of offerings of flower petals of heartfelt thoughts of gratitude and sincere efforts made by our beloved Guru Maharaja at the divine lotus feet of his spiritual master His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada on the most auspicious occasion of Srila Prabhupada’s appearance day.
These offerings give us a glimpse of the mood and his dedication, sincerity, steadfastness, humility, sacrificial nature, tolerance, and pridelessness in serving his spiritual master.
Our only aim in compiling this book is to give all the devotees a chance to learn and appreciate this mood and in turn to inculcate them in our service to our spiritual master.
We sincerely thank Vidura Priya Dasa, Gopiswara Dasa, Ananda Dasa, and Rishikumara Dasa for editing and proofreading. We also thank Anuttam Hari Das for arranging the design and layout, and Shyamkripa Devi Dasi for typing this Book. We specially thank Vrindavan Vinod Das for his cover design.
We pray to Srila Prabhupada, Sri Sri Nitai Gaur Sunder, and our worshipable deities Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi to bless them all with pure devotion.
Finding ourselves unqualified to take up this task, we beg for the blessings of paramakaruna prempradata nityananda prabhu who is more merciful than Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu.
“kabe sri caitanya more karibena daya
kabe ami paiba vaisnava-pada-chaya”
“When will Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu be merciful unto me? When will I find shelter in the shade of a vaishnava’s lotus feet?”
