Vivekachudamani

Vivekachudamani is one of the most important classics in Advaita literature. It is from the pen of Sri Sankara Bhagavatpadacharya, the Apostle of Advaita, and is couched in simple fluent Sanskrit, the special characteristic of all his writings. In Vivekachudamani Sri Sankarar narrated the important Vedic principles from Upanishad and Bhagavat Gita. Those who read Vivekachudamani will easily understand all aspects of Adi Sankarar's Advaita Philosophy. Sri Adi Sankarar's Vivekachudamani had been translated in English and Tamil by Sri. Jnanananda Bharathi Swamigal.

The learned author, Sri: Jnanananda Bharathi Swamigal was well known in his poorvashrama as Sri R. Krishnaswami Aiyar, Advocate, Tirunelveli nurtured his inborn desire to study Indian Philosophy and mastered it at very young age. He had a flair for explaining it to others through lectures and in writing in a very lucid manner in Tamil, English and Sanskrit. The books were written with the sole aim of furthering and propagating the cause of Sanathana Dharma, Advaita Philosophy, The Sringeri Sharada Peetham's greatness and teachings of Their Holiness, the Jagadgurus of Sringeri Sharada Peetham and they have been published from time to time with the blessings of Sringeri Acharyals.
