Foreword
The Life of Christ is of infinite significance to every human being. There is none other like it. His teaching is the supreme treasury of wisdom, and His life is the perfect illustration of His doctrine. His example is the highest incentive to virtue; the story of His sufferings and death the most moving revelation of Divine justice and the most effectual deterrent from sin. His whole life is a commentary on the love of God, Who "so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that those who believe in Him may not perish, but may have life everlasting”.
