Depending on the magnifying power of the microscope, the limit of viewing the minute and unseen elements, turn out to be clear for viewing. Like that, more the power of pursuit, imagination and gravity of effort of the humans become reinforced. Nature which is the manifestation of the thoughts and enquiry of the humans, unveils its form and substance, to their minds. As a stone falling in still water causes ripples that pervade to all sides, anything that disturbs any of the five senses of anyone causes undulations in the human mind. Those with less ambition for enquiry, may ignore the impact as accidental. One with an enquiring mind and having an unquenchable interest in exploring the secrets of Nature, tries to understand the forces working behind these events. The famous Bharateeya Darsanas are the outcome of the efforts of those who set out to delve and investigate the secrets of the physics of Nature. We call them visions or Darsanas' as the end-results of the enquiry and conclusions of such pursuits. Those methods of practice, based on such efforts and findings, are our Sastras . Each and every canon in Bharateeya Sastra is an epitome of the conclusions of such intelligent enquiries. Under these backdrops we can find the roots of Jyothisha in Sankhya and Kanaada Darsanas. None the less, Jyotisha itself can be classified as a Darsana. Therefore Jyotisha has to be evaluated as a Sastra and Darsana concurrently. The yardsticks of experiments adopted for the modern scientific thoughts may not be in consonance with the mechanics of the thought process of Jyotisha that is more a vision, than abstract science.
