About the Book This collection of research papers is a felicitation volume in honour of Prof. K. Sekharan who retired from service on the 31st of March 2014. The research papers in this volume are contributed by colleagues, friends, associates and students of Prof. K. Sekharan.

Foreword I have immense pleasure in introducing the work Vyakhyasudha edited by Prof. P. Narayanan Namboodiri as the 52nd number of Calicut University Sanskrit Series. This work, which is a collection of articles, is brought out as the felicitation volume in honour of Prof. K. Sekharan. Apart from being an academician, Prof. K. Sekharan was member of University Administrative bodies like syndicate and senate.

These articles, contributed by students, associates and friends of Prof. K. Sekharan deal with various aspects of sanskrit literature and poetics. I hope that this work will be received with enthusiasm by scholarly world.
