Book Description

From the Jacket:

The law of causation or that of karma includes the law that the like produces the like, or that every action must be followed by a reaction of similar nature. In the face of this universal law of karma, there is no room for the hypothesis of predestination and grace. This law of karma is inevitable. Every creature is bound to face this law. But there are many ways by which we can escape from the chain of this law and Karma Yoga is one of them. Doctrine of Karma discloses the secret of that escape.

This volume consists of the precious lectures on Doctrine of Karma and Philosophy of Work, delivered in America by Swami Abhedananda in course of his spiritual ministration in the West. These lectures of the Swami, expounding the philosophy of work in the lucid and vigorous style of his own, are most illuminating and will help us to get eternal happiness in life.
