Ranadip Mukhopadhyay (b.1930) is a retired professor with lifelong interest in Indian mythology. He has taught at a number of universities including one in Australia where he spent a few years. He has made great contributions to vedic and classical Sanskrit scholarship. He has also published a number of articles on various subjects including Indian history. vedic philosophy and literature in Indian and foreign journals.Associated with academic bodies, religious institutions and charity organisations in various capacities, he is known for his ingenious writing on Indian religions, culture and literature. He currently lives in Massachusetts, where he also runs a Yoga and Meditation Centre.
