Panch Parvan (The Victory of Virtues Over Vices)

Preface Gyani Sant Singh Ji Maskeen is a well known and famous personality of our community, hence there is no need of any Introduction. His earlier published books are 'Guru Chintan' Guru Jyoti, Teeja Netre' and 'Choutha Pud'. These four books were read all over the world and the people benefited so much from them that there was an acute demand for these books, so Maskeen ji had to get many more published. And now, despite his very busy schedule, lack of time, even at the cost of his physical health, Maskeen ji has endeavoured to write his fifth book 'Panch Parvan' and has got it published for the benefit of the people. This is the fifth book, may be that is why the name 'Panch Parvan.

But in the sacred holy book - Guru Granth Sahib ji and in the history of Sikhism the word 'Panch' has been given great significance.

The word 'Five' has been frequently used in the world too. In Gurbani both the words 'Panch' and 'Punj' have been used. In some places they mean the same thing but sometimes they hold different meanings too. Here it means that, all the five leaders also did not get rid of their doubt. In Gurbani in some places it is mentioned that one should shed off these 'five' and in some places it says one s e should adopt these 'Five'.
