Swami Purushottamananda, who had inspired several hundreds of youth, had written three booklets dealing with the need and practice of concentration, how to study systematically and face examinations with confidence, and how time is to be saved and used for career building. For the sake of convenience, the contents of all the three booklets have been brought out in this single volume. The readers, especially the youth and students, will find the ideas in this volume very helpful

‘Today's children are citizens of tomorrow!' 'Today's youth are leaders of tomorrow!?—this is how we address our children and youth, giving them lengthy instructions. But do we give them the right training to fulfil what we expect from them? Instead of lending a helping hand, we often end up spoiling them by our wrong example!

Fortunately, however, in the veins of our youth the holy blood of our ancient rishis is still flowing. Whenever the youth are provided with right opportunities, this inner spirit of their being gets manifested and surprises all with its marvellous result. A few helpful suggestions to awaken this hidden potential are given in the following pages.

The biggest problem that our students face today is how to concentrate their minds and remember what they read. The first chapter, Secret of Concentration, deals with this issue and gives practical guidelines to help concentrate the mind. To know not only how to concentrate but also how to deal with other aspects of studentlife is necessary for the students. The second chapter, Letter to a Student, deals with it. Cultivating a sense of right use of time as also some hints on how to pray have been explained in the last two chapters.
