About the Author :
H.K. Bakru enjoys a countrywide reputation as an expert naturopath and a prolific writer. His well-researched articles on nature cure, health, nutrition and herbalism appear regularly in various newspapers.
He began his career with the Indian Railways after a first class first postgraduate degree from Lucknow University and retired as a chief PRO, Central Railways, after 35 years of distinguished service.
A member of the Nature Cure Practitioners' Guild in Bombay, he has made extensive studies of natural methods of treating diseases and herbalism. He has been honoured with 'Gem of Alternative Medicines' award and a gold medal by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, Calcutta, in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of alternative medicines. He is also the recipient of Nature Cure Appreciation Award of the Nature Care Practitioners Guild for his services to naturopathy.
In addition to propagating naturopathy, much of his time is devoted to charitable activities under the auspices of D.H. Bakhru Foundation, a charitable trust founded and funded by him. He lives in Mumbai.
