I am very happy to come out with a hand book on Dravyaguna by name "Dravyaguna Made Easy Dravyaguna is the main branch of Ayurveda deals with the knowledge of the dravya on the basis of nama (nomenclature), rupa (morphology) and guna (properties), it is more a pharmacotherapeutics.
The RASAPANCHAKA is a unique theory where properties of the drug are used to explain their pharmacological effect in the body. The pharmacological actions exhibited by rasapanchakan.egunaparabhava, is almost identical to the properties existing in the human body system.
In this book I have tried to strictly follow the UG syllabus and book is divided in to Part A. B&C Part A consist of chapters from the major plants listed in the UG syllabus the most important chapter in it is the division of the plants as per the rasa of the plants which helps the student for the better understanding of its pharmacological actions and therapeutic uses. Part B consist of chapters from the list of minor plants. Part C consist of important shlokas and botanical terminologies which is given for the case of the students to understand the morphol- ogy of the plants.
