About the Author
Abhi Subedi is a literary writer and scholar. The area of his study covers a range of literary theoretical to cultural studies and the historical and contextual use of language. In this work, which he wrote in Tokyo during 1997-98, he has explored the above avenues of the travelogue and other writings of the Japanese monk Ekai Kawaguchi.

Subedi is Professor and Head at the Central Department of English, Tribhuvan University.
