About the Book This is the second edition of the volume, faces and Places of Visva Bharati, an album of selected phorographs by t he eminent photographer.

Shambhu Shaha In this volume, the photographs depict Rabindranath as the central figure in the various activities of Visva - Bharati and Santiniket.ln. There are also photographs of the Poet's contemporaries who visited him. The landscape of Santiniketan has been preserved for posterity in his images.

These photographs were processed digitally from the valuable collection of Shambhu Shaha’s original negatives preserved at rabindra Bhavana.

About the Author From 1935 till Tagore's death in 1941, Shaha made frequent visits to Santiniketan and tirelessly photographed the Poet, the creator and presiding deity of Santiniketan, to integrate them into a magnificent suite of photographs."
