The Iqbal's Poetry- A Critical and Evaluative Study

Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani, an Eminent Writer; a distinguished poet of English, Urdu, Persian and Punjabi, a renowned of this book, was born in 1954 in Bhaun, a neighboring town of Islamabad, in a learned family. He has gained remarkable achievements in his educational career. A glimpse of his educational excellence can be seen from the fact that he has obtained five degrees of M.A. in English (literature), TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) , Persian, Urdu and History -all with distinctions. He did M.Phil in lqbal Studies and subsequently acquired the honour of Ph.D in the same University, Islamabad. He has been awarded lqbal Award (2001) on his doctoral thesis -An Evaluation of the English Translation of lqbal Poetry.

Recently (2004), he has acquired another Ph.D from the University of Colombo on a very important subject-Usui Reiki and the Islamic Concepts of Spiritual Healing.' In this research, he has proved through documentary evidence that Reiki, the most modern and globally recognized spiritual healing science, was openly being practiced in the Muslim society by the Sufi Masters, long before Dr. Usui's birth, who is regarded as the father of this wonderful healing system. On this invaluable research, Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani has been awarded a Gold medal by the University of Colombo.

In the present volume, his first thesis of Ph.D is being presented for the readers of lqbal in book form, which will probably turn out to be a precious asset in the world of lqbal. Bazm-i-lqbal offers this book to the world of erudition with a deepest sense of pride.
