About the Book

Maaya -A tryst with self', is the story of a woman, Maaya, who IV-I-through her love for a man, Rahul, took on an incredible journey within, where she understood & experienced love in its purest, truest form. When Maaya first met Rahul, he touched a part of her soul that she had suppressed long ago in order to become the perfect girl for the love of her life, Kunal, whom she was engaged to. As Rahul and Maaya realised their feelings for each other, they also realised the futility of it all. Maaya gracefully let go of him to marry Kunal and have her happily ever after. Little did she expect that he would show up again in her life, at a point where she had separated from Kunal with their son Aryan, after 6 years of manage, and her pursuit for his love would lead her to see love in a light she had never seen it in before. On the road she travels to reunite with her twin-soul, she is unexpectedly led to becoming a spiritual healer, the experience of which opened her up to an infinite horizon where she not only found love, but so much more.

The book carries deep revelations about soul mate & twin-soul relationships including how they have been a source to spiritual upliftment for both the twins and how they can prove instrumental in transcending the limitations of each other.

Foreword

As we go through life's journey, we come across many ups and downs, all supposedly to teach us some lessons and to help us grow in some manner. In this journey of learning, I guess the biggest lessons are taught to us in a conjugal relationship. This is the relationship, which brings out the best and the worst in us. As it blossoms its pure divine but as it turns sour it has the potential to bring out a lifetime of misery. During the course of my professional life, I have come across many such people who deal with love and the pain it brings about in varied ways. Many turn hostile, cynical and weary and then there are a few who see the light. They learn their lessons and move on, turning to spirituality, faith in destiny with greater maturity and able mindedness.

However, going beyond the soul mates concept or rather even among the soul mates, at the end of the day one of the most important keys to any relationship is communication. While it is very important to keep the communication lines open in any relationship, it is equally important to keep the ego out. One has to be truly transparent with each other without worrying about a perceived self-image, with a faith and confidence that the other will cherish this openness and respond in a similar manner. As we walk through our life, we start collecting hurts; small hurts, big hurts and they end up being a huge mountain of hurts in no time at all. For a relationship to grow, to sustain and to flourish both partners in a relationship have to talk their inner most fears or hurts with their counter parts. This creates a level of mutual trust and faith in each other, which brings about a lifetime of bonding. It is not easy to finds such a transparency in relationship in today's time, because we are too stuck in instant gratification and do not want to invest time from our busy schedule to have an open communication line. Also, we are very prone to getting hurt with other person's ridicule, as it invalidates our very existence of being right. We are so caught up in ourselves, and it really hurts our pride when someone points out our fallacies. We really find it beneath ourselves to admit that we do get hurt by silliest of things.

Here is a story of Maaya and her journey through love and loss, a woman who had the courage to move on, to have faith and not be sucked up in the acrimony of betrayal but to keep searching for her destiny and learning many life lessons in the process. Many of us can associate with her dreams and aspirations of finding that true love but few have the courage to take chances and not be complacent in the security and mediocrity life offers. Here is wishing all the readers courage to follow their dreams and convictions and lives lived to the fullest.
